Kalat Al Bulooshi is the CEO of OIC & has over 20 years of extensive experience in the oil and gas, utilities, ports, infrastructure, metal and manufacturing industries, investment, M&A, private equity and asset management. Kalat has an Engineering degree and has also completed an Advanced Management Programme at Wharton Business School and Executive Programmes at Harvard Business School in the States. Prior to joining OIC, he held a number of key positions in leading organisations in Oman, including Sohar Aluminum, Sohar Industrial Ports Company and Petroleum Development Oman. Kalat is the Deputy Chairman of Sembcorp Salalah, and also the founder and board member of a number of private and government owned companies such as Mwasalat and Oman Gas Company.
Tareq Al Mugheiry is Investment Director of OIC and is responsible for the management of OIC's overall investment activities and the day to day management of its investment portfolio. Tareq has been a member of OIC's management team since its inception in 2005. Prior to joining OIC, Tareq has worked for Philips Electronics in corporate strategy and mergers & acquisitions, JP Morgan in investment banking covering the European technology sector and Oman LNG in the project financing team. He holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB) and Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com) from the University of Western Australia, and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia. He serves on the board of many of OIC’s portfolio companies.
Cyrus is the Finance Director of OIC and is responsible for the overall management of OIC, evaluation of investments and management of operations. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Sloan Fellow Masters in Business and Strategy from London Business School. Cyrus has over 22 years of experience in private equity, finance, consulting, assurance and investment banking across India, Middle East, USA, South America and UK. Prior to joining OIC, Cyrus has been an Executive Director of an investment bank, Sun Capital, MD of a $300M PE fund, Halcyon, CFO of a diversified group, Forbes and Job Partner in Arthur Andersen/EY.
